Triple-R getting his hands dirty and rolling out a masterpiece!!!! Loved the show on this beauty. that is one Mean Machine all the way.

I’m Looking for something old-skool cool to tow my 1948 Teardrop trailer…
    donations appreciated!.. LOL

Keep up the awesome work and the awesome episodes.

Can’t wait for the restaurant to get rolling, as the wife and I want an excuse to camp near Dallas, TX and GMG!

    Brian E.

    • I just had to get my hands dirty on this one! Just couldn’t miss out.

The Bar N Grill is actually already open, man! You should make the trip and stop by!

  2. I bet that car sold fast.

I really enjoy your shows. I ended up watching the COPO Camaro episode twice.
You did great work on it – no matter what KC says about your painting abilities.

    Keep it up.

  3. WOW, love your show but this camaro is the best one yet. You did a great job on the build. All I can say is wow! Your #1 Fan in GA.

  4. I just knew Dennis was gone buy this car.. I love the show keep up the good work. I would love to see what you guys would do to a 1968 roadrunner or a 1935 chevy coupe

  5. Richard;
Myself and 4 other truck drivers are in town for several days waiting for our crews and race car drivers to come back to Texas Speedway to test our cars. Would love to check out your shop and meet you guys. Not sure if public just shows up at front door. If you need references we can get Dale Jr or Jeef Gordon to call and put in a good word for us. hit me back.

    • Hey, Jimmy! Feel free to stop by GMG! We’re really busy around here so we can’t make any promises as to whether or not we can stop and say “hi”, but the front of the shop is open to the public from 9-6 during the week and 9-2 on saturday!

  6. That COPO is one of the most awesome newer Camaros I’ve ever seen, and thats saying something ‘cuz i usually don’t like newer cars! But hey, once again, Gas monkey suprised me yet again!

  7. you guys do awesome jobs on all your cars.love the show.will be coming to dallas in december and would like to come by your shop and see it in person. is that allowed

    • We film pretty much every day and we can’t allow people back there while the cameras are on. You can kind of see in from the parking lot. The front (merchandise area) is always open and we try to go up there when we have a break from filming to say hi to the fans.

  8. Watched half of the episode last night on the DVR as I got in late from work and had to get up early for work today. Will watch the rest tonight. It was great to see that guys eye balls pop out of his head as you laid the ten grand cash in front of him at the diner. Like they say in Karachi, “gas, grass and ass; No one rides for free.” Keep up the good work and build some more cars darn it.

  9. Love the show and your passion. I am on my 14 flip .. Mostly Mustangs . Nothing Better then restoring an old fox that someone abused and just totally jacked up and bringing it back to life
There is just something about badass and beautiful!

  10. I have a guy in ga that has a lot of older cars you may be intrested in. 70 cuda I think it has big block440 built with 500 miles on engine and 67 mustang and all original 289 factory air still drives daily with 34000 original miles

  11. if the COPO was green instead of silver and street legal …..im sure you were going to keep the car in your collection ! …..great car…great show….french canadian fan!!!

  12. Hey Richard im in missouri. Im trying to talk the fiance into letting me come down to the bsr and grill . If and when I do I got the first 10 rounds of beer on me.hope are there.

    Chris

  13. The COPO was built in May of this year? Guess that makes it a true last car of the 2013 year run. Congrats on a SWEET ride and like Richard says, “GAS MONKEY GOT PAID!!!!!!!”

  14. Watched the COPO show twice. Good one Richard! …. Let’s hook up with Dennis and go get (beg, borrow, steal … lol) the black ragtop. 😀 Your build was nice, BUT, the convertible is where it’s at!
Thanks to all who made the show a hit. My wife and I loved the museum footage!
I would like to see Chevrolet build a Cruze ragtop. We have a granite black LTZ. Love the 1.4 turbocharged performance. Send them a hint, would ya?
BTW, anyone that cares to badmouth you or any of your crew needs to own a business.
    Be gassed~
    Reg & Carolyn

  15. Just want to say when you fired that Camaro up for the first time my heart skipped a beat! Haha it came out awesome guys! It would be cool to watch you guys tackle a Dart, or Superbee in the future! Love the show, never try to miss an episode.

  16. I m coming to Texas to visit my brother. I’m flying into DFW. I hope to make GMG one of my stops for the trip. My brother and I are lifetime car freaks, both of us have been mechanics and body men all of our lives. Currently workiing a 1962 Ford Fairlane.

  17. I love the color, since all my cars I’ve had have been Silver. Also, I think it is so awesome to see such a badass copo camaro. One of my favorite make and model. Richard, I wish one day for my BF and I to take a roadtrip to dallas, Tx to take a tour of GMG and then go to your bar & Grill!! Your show is great and the I love your interaction with sue, kc and aaron. Very amusing show for a woman to watch, I have been around cars since I was a little girl since my dad worked at General motors in lordstown, OH for 32 years!!

  18. RR just watched the episode. Really like the gas monkey touches. Lot of us here in Jacksonville are real excited to see whats next. Thanks for all the laughs…

  19. @RR Wow what a car… love the show and keep building them right !! Everyone support your local bar maids and get em a gas monkey t-shirt !!

  20. I love your show. although I’m not much of a post-1970s domestic car kind of girl, I was REALLY feeling this COPO Camaro. Do you ever get to restore any GTOs or fastback Mustangs?

  21. CAUGHT THE SHOW ON THE COPO LAST NIGHT,PRINTING THE PICS AND SENDING THEM TO A FRIENDS KID THAT IS AWAY IN AIRFORCE BOOT CAMP,HE LOVES HOT ROD CHEVY’S WILL BE A GOOD MORALE BOOST HOW BOUT A SHOUT OUT TO HIM HIS NAME IS ZACH…..THANKS GREAT SHOW AND HOME OFFICE IS IN AUSTIN,SWING IN TO THE SHOP,BAR AND GRILL NEXT TIME I’M DOWN THERE….GAS MONKEY RULES!!!!!

  22. Just wanted to say I love the finished COPO; soo cool the way the new Camaros finally resemble the first ones 67-69. Also I am addicted to your show, You guys remind me of my military buds from yesteryear. Such great memories of complete insanity. Thanks, watching TV is fun again. Hope your are on for years to come and looking for the DVD collection so I can watch from the beginning. Behind the scenes would be so appreciated. Any on line by chance?

I used to live in Abiline, would have definitely made the trip to check out your restaurant. Texas has the best brisket. I still might make the trip from Seattle for a Texas feast.

  23. Wow! Watched show last night with this COPO and all I can say is sweet! Have a 2010 pro charged 2SS with ford 9 and full race trans in it….and would of sold it to get instantly to get this one. Keep up the great shows and keeping it real!

  24. Ok Yes, that is a hell of a car. But C’mon, building a brand new camaro in an automated factory. You didn’t even have to clean the rat nests and crap out of it first! Keep up the great episodes! My fav is still the rebuilt Ferrari. U guys are awesome. GYSOT!

  25. Hey Monkeys! I’ve been a die hard fan since te days of the old garage and the first Model A that was flipped on the show. Congratulations on all your success and prosperity!

Can you book the Red Hot Chili Peppers to play at the bar by chance?!

  26. Richard, I really enjoy watching your show, and I think you guys are very hilarious. There is a lot of cool cars up here in indiana you should come round up and do restorations on..if I ever get the extra cash to come down to your shop . I will drop on by. Thanks and keep up the awesome builds your show puts out

  27. Richard, dude, that bad ass Copo Comaro is such a wicked car!!!
I would kill to own a car like that!!! Right now me and my Dad are
working on a 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 XL. It’s a pretty knarly looking car for it’s age.
My Dad’s father took pretty good care of it since he bought it after he came back
form the Vietnam War. It’s definitely not for sale but if your interested in seeing a photo
or two give me a holler! Haha Keep on burnin’ up rubber and disturbing the peace man!

  28. Owned many muscle cars and spent numerous hours tuning and drag racing, and now GM show is like being hooked on drugs. Talked my grandson into buying Camaro yesterday after watching the show. RR reminds me of Joie Chitwood in the days he entertained at the Dallas Fair.

  29. those new camaros are awsome anyway but the copo oh man loved the episode and the tires on this really are plain but they look awsome did cant belive you didnt keep that

  30. The sound of that Copo was the best thing I have ever heard come through my TV.

Big fan of the show , keep up the great work!!!!

    Joe Gervais.

  31. Hey Richard! Great build! Loved watching the episode.
At teh end of the episode, when you were acting like the typical used car salesman you were in front of what appeared to be a slavage yard. Is that lot owned by You and Gas Monkey? any chance I could get a name for that lot? anyways….keep up the great builds!!

  32. I would own that car if it didn’t have such a hefty price tag… that is a monster of a hellacious car I WANT IT as RR would say

  33. you rock men!!!! you are the best in the car industries, you are the guys with the great attitude in the busines, keep on rockin guys

  34. SO, THE ONLY “body in white” CAMAROS DON’T HAVE A DRIVETRAIN? I GUESS THAT WOULD BE A “COPO WITH NO-GO” (sorry about that, but I couldn’t help myself)I had my own shop out here in Maryland tell my partner got to do a problem with drugs. The average person cannot understand the thrill of the hunt and talking to someone out of their beloved toys. As you well know Richard that’s half the fun. The other half is filling your pocket backup. Right now I made a deal with the guy who is trying to steal my barn car 50 51 50 gasser and my 57 Chevy delivery. When I get them back I’ll shoot you some photos as I may have to sell them.I have had the delivery for almost 20 years but I don’t think I’ll be able to get it done. The reason I want to build it is it was built in Baltimore as the 66666th car.factory color was Highland Green. My current ride is a 68 Chrysler 300 with a 440 and 63k miles. I might sell that one too.next time I’m down in Texas visiting my brother I’ll drop by. Keep having fun, gary

  35. hey richard, that copo was sick, i was wondering since yall know alot about cars my dad has a 1965 austin healy sprite that is white with a soft top what are the value on them suckers!?

  36. Awesome build, love the COPO! I have a question though, Dennis has all that money and has a link to that crappy website (Jeep) on the COPO page? C’mon man, redo that site for him!

  37. I WOULD LIKE TO COMMEND RICHARD ON HIS RESTAURANT. I ATE THERE TWICE DURING MY RECENT VISIT TO TEXAS. THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE TOPNOTCH. I WAS AT THE RESTAURANT DURING THE AMPHICAR STUNT. AND ENJOYED IT. UPON EATING AT THE RESTAURANT MY BROTHER AND I WENT TO THE GARAGE. i WOULD LIKE TO THANK RICHARD FOR TAKING TIME OUT OF HIS BUSY SCHEDULE TO MINGLE IN THE SWAG ROOM AND FOR PICTURE TAKING.

  38. The show is cool, great cars , great builds, not too much drama,, But now the show needs a “hook”,, maybe a couple smoking hot chicks on the show, not bartenders or wait staff in the new bar but hardcore girl mechanics,, like Jessie Combs she would be a great asset to the show,, maybe more women would even watch it!!!

  39. That is one kickass, take no prisoners COPO Camaro. Back in the day I used to go to Berger Chevrolet, here in my home town, and take a peak at the COPO Camaros they made. You took it up a few notches. I have sisters in the Dallas-Ft Worth area, and next time I visit them, Gas Monkey Bar N Grille and the garage are on my must see list in the Dallas area.

  40. HEY RICHARD WATCHED EVERY EPISODE AT LEAST TWICE , AND THEY ARE ALL GOOD SEEN YOU MIGHT HAVE 15 CAMARO COPO ROLLING CHASIS, OK HOW MUCH FOR ONE . AND DON’T BEAT MEUP . SEEN WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO SELL SOME IN MARCH FOR 55,000 BUT I WANT A FIRST RUN . KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

  41. Hey Richard,
Killer car, love your show. Plan on eating at your restaurant. One show I thought they said you purchased 14 of these. Did you go to GM or did you have to go to a dealer. Thanks

  42. Hey Richard:
How did you start out getting into flipping cars? Just curious because i have started doing it myself and was wondering if you have any tips on being successful with it.

    • Just started buying a selling cars in high school. Good luck with it, it’s never easy but always rewarding. Never be afraid to walk away from a bad deal.

  43. I have a 66 stang taking up room in my garage. Original 289 convertible thinking about selling it I figured I would tell you first. It would be cool to see it on the show.

  44. Hey Richard,

Would you consider of shipping a car to Australia if I was to buy one of your cars.
Would it also be possible to have it converted to RHD.
Love your work nothing like it in Australia

  45. Hi Richard , me and my wife are from California and are planing a trip out specifically to your bar and GMG. The reason I write to you is because you just became to me a camaro conosour due to the amount of copos you purchased, and although my camaro is a ZL1 not a COPO I’d love to have your signature if possible on my glove box just like Burt Reynolds signed the bandit car you guys built.

  46. Hello Richard, I am a big fan of GMG and your show, even that I am from Slovakia, centre of Europe. You guys do hell of a job. That COPO Camaro was a kickass. Too bad you had to sell it. Anyway, I would like to visit you guys someday, so keep up the good work and have fun with it. It is really cool time watchnig you. You have a good one ! Roman.

  47. Hey Richard
love the show, so I’ll give you a monkey for your COPO but you’ll have to ship it to UK, because like Arron said its got no wipers, and needs special Gas.
    Gazza

    But this another history!))))))

  50. Just curious… Is there a cost to register for the next COPO drawing? If I won, but didn’t have the cash, could I opt back out or roll it over until the next year?

  51. Sorry Richard, I should have been more clear. How does Chevy handle the COPO drawings? Does it cost to register for the drawing? Are you financially committed to buy that year or just an option to buy one?

  52. Hey Richard,
Hi from Sydney Australia, we get GMG down here via cable TV and we think your show is great to bad you look so good my wife is in love all over again, we saw the episode about the 2013 COPO build and thought it was EXCLENT we don’t get anything like that here . Will be in the States early next year and will definitely want to see GMG and the GMG Bar & Grill, see you then !!.

  53. Loved this episode, unfortunately due to bad weather here in Delaware my Direct TV was having issues and my DVR didnt catch the first part of it. It was like going to a bad drive through where you only make out half the order. I caught where you sent Aaron the pic of you cutting the car. I am going to miss your up coming episodes because I deploy for 6 month in April. Do you guys play full episodes on Youtube or any other sites? I emailed you guys about a 1984 Hurst/Olds, 2 model T’s (1 has only 50 miles on it) and a Model A. To see if you guys would be interested. Let me know and thank you for keeping us entertained.

  54. I was wondering, what cars do you have in your personal inventory? Ones you dont sell? I would have thought this one would have been a keeper since you physically built it from the ground up. Also 2 questions for Aaron, what was your favorite build of all time? What is in your personal inventory?

  55. …k Bigg Rich…sic…I gotta 69, that like you…I built, and bought new…cept it’s the other end round…however…you’re a pussy…U gotta automatic where I got can spank the snot outta a (my) 4speed…

  60. Hey Richard, just wondering when your gonna make your way up here in Rhode Island,We truly have some cars up here that literally had the barns built around them. You have my email and contact info.I think with your style and passion for the game of flip,You will have some cars that would make the holy grail list of yours and us seeing your show reguraly so we know your taste.I contacted you sometime back about you making your way up this way,and I know it being a New England State that doesn’t mean it’s been thru New England weather

  61. Whats your most profitable top ten cars? Great show but take it easy on the poor lady that does your interiors. She’s a hoot! Is she single and like men?

  62. Man, your show is awesome, greettings from Germany, i saw the Copo episode 5 minutes ago. This Car is really badass……
Hey, Richard likes beer, so what does he think about our german beer? Had he ever tested?
If not, let me know, I´m from Bavaria, the home of good beer. ;))

  63. I loved the copo camaro.I thought you did a good job of building it!My biggest problem of watching your show Gas Monkey!10,000.00.don’t buy to much in today’s world. You knew what the car would be worth. When it was finished! When you bought the ticket from the dude that owned it.You could have pulled more money, out of your ass.
It is just Hollywood man!!!!!!!You should also reach in your ass!For the poor lady, with the PANTRA!The way that lady looked. When you low balled her.She gonna hunt your ass down, and kick it!
This is just Hollywood, sure your building really kool tin. That’s what the show is about.I know you have an endless supply of mail offers to look at.But why can’t your producers.Pay a little more money,to the people you low ball.

  68. looking for an old badass chevy impala hope you can help me out…
or a Datsun 240z even though i know you only work with american cars…

  69. Richard: My uncle was a camaraman on the movie Gumball Ralley – great stories, I just wanted to know if you could resolve my curiosity about the record that you and your friend hold. 1) fastest speed you reached (who was driving) 2) adverage speed you maintained 3) how you kept the cops off your butt or did you have some kind of arrangement with them. 4) Does your record still stand? 5) If you attempted it again what would be he car of your choice?

Thanks for giving my questions some consideration.

    Casey

  70. Finally getting caught up on my F&FL! I’m a huge Ford fan. I have a 2 & 4 door Galaxy 500’s. So waiting for your next Galaxy build. Hel maybe even build mine. Well back to reality then what happened to that Rcode black Galaxy? I was really looking forward to you guy’s building that car!
