  1. I grew up with Mopar. (I’m 58) My dad always had Chrysler products and would custom order his cars for traveling. He would sometimes get police packages in them and I loved it! I ordered 1973 GTX with 440 Mag and wish like heck I still had it. I still have my 1976 Power Wagon that I bought new. It needs a lot of work, but it’s worth it!

  2. Very Cool. You are a natural. How many takes till the director yelled, “it’s a wrap”. I see a CLIO Image Award in your future; maybe an Emmy?! You are totally awesome!! Keep on doing what you’re doing – Keep Smiling ;>) Vette Girl <333

  3. Awesome! As a MOPAR fan and a owner of a 2007 Plum Crazy Purple Charger SRT8 ( #123 of 300) and a ’72 Plymouth Scamp, I like the hood music one the best and glad to see GMG doing something MOPAR. Goof Job guys!!

  4. Ha!! Who picked the music for the 100 year event commercial?
It’s pretty sweet that you got picked to be the face for the brand.
    Kudos Rico!

  5. I truly love seeing Gas Monkey Garage growing up so fast. Richard Rawlings’ personality is perfect for these commercials. No Chevy, GMC, or Ford commercial could look this good with him in it & no I’m not just only a mopar fan, I’m a fan of cool. Since I was 16 I wanted to build & flip collectible creations with 4 wheels & a motor but it wasn’t until Richard, Aaron, Dennis, & the rest of GMG showed up on tv that I thought my pipe dream could be a reality. Now they’ve shown me how possible big dreams can be accomplished.

  6. Richard,

Dodge found a perfect mouth piece for the Charger, you did a great job with these commercials. I would like to make a CGI out of your cars. Go to my website and checkout EFEXIO.

  7. I wasn’t a big mopar fan until now! Great frickin’ commercial! Please don’t do commercials like Billy Mays or that British guy. Wait, maybe a Billy mays spoof? Now were talkin

  8. My assistant turned me on to your show. I’m currently dealing w/an ill parent & a very stressful job. Came in to work this AM already having a tough day. I sat down at my PC & found my assistant put a picture of you on my screen. Your smiling face put an immediate smile on my face & my day turned around. Thank you!!

  9. Richard, you have done it again! Just when I thought You had peaked your coolness, you go and join the Dodge revolution of power. Man be careful!! This combo is going to cause a coolness explosion that will cause a party to break out in all 50 states! Keep up the awesomeness brother, CHEERS !

  10. Hey Cheryl, as the director of these spots, I agree 110% that Richard is a natural. Worked with a lot of big names, and Mr. Rawlings is the real deal. His ad-libbed takes are the ones that made it onto the screen. Just a few takes, and “that’s a wrap”. Stayed tuned for more!!

  11. Richard, thank you for putting cool back on the map. I mean there are a ton of cool cars out there, but so many get caught up in Ferrari builds the best or its only classic American Mopar for me or nothing. While I can appreciate all that stuff, I more greatly admire your passion for all things auto. I am like that. Boats, bikes, planes, trains or automobiles brother. I love it all. I have been in the industry for a while and want to up my status. I have been recently consigning as well as locating. I know hard work is where it all begins but how does a guy catch connections like you to help grow their ambitions?

    • Just have to build some badass stuff to get people’s attention and then get it out there where people can see it. Go to shows, go to rallies, go anywhere where someone might see you! That’s what Aaron and I did with Gas Monkey and it seems to have worked out alright…

  12. I just had to say…. When you showed of the Challenger with the shaker hood it sat in the back of my mind. Yesterday I was out just driving about and pulled into a dodge dealer to look at one. Oh how my heart sank…. One pretty grey one with no sunroof and and automatic too boot. (the horror). A white one…again automatic….hey I was just looking….disapointed but looking. The sales lady directed me to the back lot….new inventory not yet put on the lot….nothing….was leaving when a red RT blocked me in and the sales lady popped out and demanded I follow her….they were opening the doors to put this challenger on the showroom and I just had too see it…..well when I walked around the floor…there it was….a 14 mopar edition….in all it’s glory. Number 36. And this was no automatic….lol. My only question after I signed the final paperwork was….”do I get a beer assistant with that?”. So Richard….thank you for showing off that shaker and YOU actually sold that beautiful beast. Oh hey and I felt like a rock star as the sales people and mechanics cameout to see who bought it.

  13. I admit, I had to Google “Who’s the cool guy in the Dodge Commercials?”, but you make a very impressive impression. Now I get why they chose you. Good choice.

  14. Hi Guys, I’m a confirmed fan of the show. I was born a Mopar car guy. My father had a ’47 Dodge, a ’50 Plymouth, and a ’62 Valiant. I am presently a proud Dodge owner of not one, not two, but seven Dodge Rams. Two Hemis, three sixes, four 4X4’s, and they are all stick shifts. Mopars are the best. Love those new Dodge commercials too. I’m glad that the show will go on. Keep up the good work. Go Gas Monkeys.

  15. We love watching all the cool Dodge commercials with you, Richard! You Rock! See you at the Dodge/Motley Crew show!!! We will be bringing our black ’73 ‘Cuda. See you there!

  16. Great commercials- my Mopar story: I bought a ’72 Plymouth Fury in 1983 and had it for 3 weeks before my girlfriend (now wife) drove it into a tree while I was teaching her how to drive.
    Staying tuned for more FNL!

  17. Hey Richard, ur a weenie! What’s up with Dodge picking on the Passat ? I had to get rid of my Charger srt8 at about the same time the first commercial came out. It was making fun of the Passat and of all cars that was the one I switched to. Almost cried. I miss that silver beast, but at least my wife can’t blame me for spending all our money on gas. I gotta switch back. Pick on Hyundai or something, at least VW’s are a little cool.

  18. Good to see dodge on your show my favorite cars I owned 55 and 57 chevys .But I bought a 68 gtx hemi orange 383 super bee engine and I have been mopar ever since. keep up the good work Al the va. boy.

  19. Love the “Monkey” ads; especially the “Chamber Music” one. Watched several of your gas monkey garage videos on the site. Thanks for making car commercials FUN & Interesting. Nothing like a “Big Three” muscle car flexing its beauty and speed!!

  20. My Dad could afford to drive any Exotic car he wanted but he won his first NHRA Drag Race in a Dodge with a HEMI. From that day forward my father has Owned NOTHING but MOPAR Powered Vehicles. Still at 88yrs old it is Dodge or Chrysler or go home
